"I love Tito to bits. This is very hard for me":

At the end of Bayern Munich's 4-0 win over Hamburg in the semi-final of the Telekom Cup, Pep Guardiola was bombarded with questions about his former colleague and friend, Tito Vilanova, who is recovering from cancer of the parotid gland. Guardiola spoke affectionately of Tito: "It's really hard for me to talk about this in German. He's my friend and I love him to bits". The Bayern manager went on to support Vilanova: "I can only wish him and his family the best in order to be strong and face this difficult moment. This is very, very hard for me".

Bayern Munich won the match in style, with goals from Boateng, Mandzukic, Kroos and Müller.
